Job Requirements
- Minimum age of 16 years
- High school diploma or GED required
- Previous barista or customer service experience preferred
- Ability to communicate effectively in English
- Excellent time management and organizational skills
- Flexible availability to work nights, weekends, and holidays
- Ability to work in a fast-paced casino environment
- Capable of lifting and moving up to 50 pounds
- Must maintain regular attendance
- Ability to follow sanitation and safety standards
- Ability to operate POS system accurately
- Physical stamina to stand and move throughout shift
- Ability to handle a smoke-filled environment
- Must demonstrate tact and respect in all interactions
- Ability to maintain a positive work environment
Job Qualifications
- Previous Barista experience preferred
- High school diploma or GED
- Excellent communication skills in written and oral form
- Ability to interpret and follow instructions in written, oral, or diagram form
- Excellent time management, problem solving, and organizational skills
- Ability to accurately perform basic math calculations
- Flexible to work all shifts including nights, weekends, and holidays
- Ability to deal tactfully and respectfully with customers and coworkers
- Trusted and truthful individual
- Consistently courteous and respectful in communication
- Ability to cooperate with others in joint tasks
Job Duties
- Welcomes customers by determining their coffee interests and needs
- Educates customers by presenting and explaining the coffee drink menu
- Sells coffees and coffee grinding and brewing equipment by explaining differences in coffee beans and coffee preparation machines
- Prepares and sells coffee drinks by following prescribed recipes and preparation techniques
- Maintains inventories by replenishing coffee bean supply and stocking coffee brewing equipment
- Keeps equipment operating by following operating instructions and troubleshooting breakdowns
- Maintains safe and healthy work environment by following organization standards and sanitation regulations
- Improves quality results by studying and redesigning processes
- Enhances coffee shop reputation by accepting ownership for new and different requests
- Operates the POS system for a minimum of four hours per shift
- Performs daily, weekly, and monthly cleaning tasks
- Assists with monthly breakdown of store for deep cleaning
