Job Requirements

High school diploma or GED
minimum age of 16 years
ability to deal with customers and coworkers in a tactful and respectful manner
ability to read, write, speak and understand English
excellent communication skills
ability to follow written, oral, diagram or schedule instructions
excellent time management, problem solving and organizational skills
basic math skills to calculate figures and amounts
flexibility to work all shifts including holidays, nights, weekends
availability to work in a fast-paced, smoke-filled casino environment
physical ability to lift and/or move up to 50 pounds

Job Qualifications

Previous Barista experience preferred
high school diploma or GED required
possess excellent communication skills, both in written and oral form
ability to read, write, speak and understand the English language to communicate with guests, employees and supervisors
ability to interpret and follow through on a variety of instructions furnished in written, oral, diagram, or schedule form
excellent time management, problem solving and organizational skills
ability to accurately add, subtract, multiply, and divide in all units of measure and calculate figures and amounts
flexible to work all shifts including holidays, nights, and weekend hours as business needs dictate
must be a minimum of 16 years of age
dedicated to meeting and/or exceeding the expectations and requirements of internal and external clients
trusted and seen as a truthful individual who is highly respectful of others
consistently exhibits courteous, respectful, and appropriate communications and presents information in a concise and understandable format

Job Duties

Welcomes customers by determining their coffee interests and needs
educates customers by presenting and explaining the coffee drink menu and answering questions
sells coffees and coffee grinding and brewing equipment by explaining differences in coffee beans and coffee preparation machines and demonstrating how brewing equipment operates
prepares and sells coffee drinks by following prescribed recipes and preparation techniques for coffee drinks such as espresso, espresso lungo, caffe latte, and cappuccino
maintains inventories by replenishing coffee bean supply, stocking coffee brewing equipment, maintaining supplies, pastries, and cookies for coffee bar
keeps equipment operating by following operating instructions, troubleshooting breakdowns, maintaining supplies, performing preventive maintenance, calling for repairs
maintains safe and healthy work environment by following organization standards and sanitation regulations
improves quality results by studying, evaluating, and re-designing processes, implementing changes, maintaining and improving the appearance of the store and coffee bar
enhances coffee shop reputation by accepting ownership for accomplishing new and different requests, exploring opportunities to add value to job accomplishments
operates the POS (Point of Sale) for half of shift, 4 hours minimally
performs daily, weekly, and monthly cleaning tasks
assist with monthly breakdown of store for deep cleaning
