Job Requirements
- Must be able to work a varied schedule including days evenings weekends holidays
- Ability to work under pressure
- Must have previous customer service or barista experience preferred
- Basic math skills required
- Effective conflict resolution skills
- English proficiency
- Able to operate Point of Sale systems
- Ability to learn and upsell menu items
Job Qualifications
- Previous hospitality barista cashiering or customer service experience preferred
- Able to learn all menu items and up-selling techniques
- Basic mathematical skills necessary to operate a cash register make change count total bank prepare cash drops and total charges
- Ability to resolve conflict situations effectively such as inaccurate check total
- Ability to read and speak English to understand menus special promotions and communicate with guests
- Ability to operate keyboard and Point of Sale procedures to handle cashier functions
Job Duties
- Provide quality beverages consistently for all customers preparing Starbucks beverages to standard
- Maintain condition and cleanliness of work area
- Follow standards for merchandising stocking rotating and storing all products
- Ascertain guest satisfaction in the event of dissatisfaction tactfully negotiate an accommodation
- Comply with accounting guidelines regarding receipt of payments cash drawer and house bank management
- Balance house bank at the end of the shift
- Perform any general cleaning tasks using standard outlet cleaning products as assigned by supervisor to adhere to health standards
