Job Requirements
- accurately handle cash register operations as needed
- ability to climb up and down ladders
- ability to scan, handle and move merchandise efficiently and safely including lifting up to 44 pounds
- flexible work schedule including nights, weekends and holidays with reliable and prompt attendance
- ability to work in environments ranging from 34F to -10F as needed
- ability to work in spaces where allergens may be present
- capability to work under varying temperatures, humidity and other conditions such as Drive-Up and carryout
- ability to remain mobile for the duration of scheduled shifts
- high school diploma or equivalent
- legal authorization to work in the United States
Job Qualifications
- previous Starbucks or food service experience preferred but not required
- welcoming and helpful attitude toward guests and team members
- ability to communicate using multiple frequency devices and operate handheld scanners and other technology
- ability to work independently and as part of a team
- ability to resolve guest questions quickly
- attention to detail and ability to follow multi-step processes
- ability to remain focused and composed in a fast-paced environment and accomplish multiple tasks within deadlines
Job Duties
- deliver an exceptional guest experience by connecting with guests to provide quality handcrafted beverages and food
- uphold and maintain the execution of food and beverage standards, including Starbucks and food safety standards
- execute food and beverage processes such as deliveries, replenishment, stocking, zoning, instocks routines, data accuracy, culling, rotation, cleaning, defect handling, signing and backstock
- maintain awareness of all promotional activities within Starbucks
- follow Target and Starbucks routines to deliver a consistent experience while driving efficiency and safety
- support the Starbucks Drive Up process to fulfill digital guest orders accurately and on time
- maintain a clean and inviting dining area for guests all day
- engage with guests to meet and exceed expectations based on Starbucks standards
- produce items to specifications and follow department routines
- monitor and record temperature-sensitive food items
- complete and record cleaning tasks
- follow proper packaging and labeling guidelines for food products
- locate and handle damaged, recalled or expired items
- ensure accurate in-stocks by placing store-initiated orders
- follow perishable inventory procedures
- execute sampling best practices
- create a welcoming experience by greeting guests authentically
- observe and respond to guests' needs using verbal and nonverbal cues
- engage authentically with guests and ask questions to understand needs
- be knowledgeable about tools, products and services to solve guest issues
- thank guests genuinely and show appreciation
- complete all required Starbucks trainings related to quality control
- demonstrate ethical conduct, safety and compliance
- work safely at all times and identify hazards
- support guest services such as back-up cashier, order pick up and Drive-up
- perform other duties based on business needs
