Job Requirements

  • Valid food handlers card required within 30 days of hire
  • must be 18 years or older
  • at least 1 year of food service experience
  • flexible to work nights, weekends, and holidays
  • ability to work in fast-paced, high-pressure kitchen environment
  • physical ability to stand, walk, bend, and lift 25lbs throughout workday
  • excellent communication skills
  • ability to follow safety and sanitation procedures
  • able to respond quickly and resourcefully
  • must maintain professional appearance
  • ability to work both independently and as part of a team

Job Qualifications

  • Must be minimum 18 years of age
  • at least 1-year previous food service experience desired
  • working knowledge of food production techniques and sanitation
  • excellent written and verbal communication skills
  • ability to work flexible hours including nights, weekends, and holidays
  • ability to interact with customers and staff at all levels
  • ability to work with minimal supervision

Job Duties

  • Set up stations and collect all necessary supplies to prepare menu for service
  • prepare a variety of foods including meat, seafood, poultry, vegetable, and cold food items
  • properly label and date food items for storage
  • stock and maintain sufficient levels of food products to assure smooth service period
  • comply consistently with standard portion sizes, cooking methods, quality standards, and kitchen policies
  • use food preparation tools according to manufacturers instructions
  • close the kitchen correctly and follow closing checklist for kitchen stations
  • maintain prepared and sanitary work area
  • assist with cleaning, sanitation, and organization of kitchen and storage areas
  • prepare dishes for customers with food allergies or intolerances
  • ensure all storage areas are tidy and products stored appropriately
  • use safe and hygienic food handling practices
  • return dirty utensils to appropriate areas
  • keep workstation and equipment clean, organized, sanitized and stocked
  • use waste control guidelines and record spoilage
  • maintain proper sanitation and food safety
  • follow all company policies and procedures
  • perform additional duties as assigned by Executive Chef or Chef
