Job Requirements
- Valid food handlers card required within 30 days of hire
- must be 18 years or older
- at least 1 year of food service experience
- flexible to work nights, weekends, and holidays
- ability to work in fast-paced, high-pressure kitchen environment
- physical ability to stand, walk, bend, and lift 25lbs throughout workday
- excellent communication skills
- ability to follow safety and sanitation procedures
- able to respond quickly and resourcefully
- must maintain professional appearance
- ability to work both independently and as part of a team
Job Qualifications
- Must be minimum 18 years of age
- at least 1-year previous food service experience desired
- working knowledge of food production techniques and sanitation
- excellent written and verbal communication skills
- ability to work flexible hours including nights, weekends, and holidays
- ability to interact with customers and staff at all levels
- ability to work with minimal supervision
- detail oriented
- excellent organizational and planning skills
- strong customer service orientation
- positive attitude and neat appearance
Job Duties
- Set up stations and collect all necessary supplies to prepare menu for service
- prepare a variety of foods including meat, seafood, poultry, vegetable, and cold food items
- properly label and date food items for storage
- stock and maintain sufficient levels of food products to assure smooth service period
- comply consistently with standard portion sizes, cooking methods, quality standards, and kitchen policies
- use food preparation tools according to manufacturers instructions
- close the kitchen correctly and follow closing checklist for kitchen stations
- maintain prepared and sanitary work area
- assist with cleaning, sanitation, and organization of kitchen and storage areas
- prepare dishes for customers with food allergies or intolerances
- ensure all storage areas are tidy and products stored appropriately
- use safe and hygienic food handling practices
- return dirty utensils to appropriate areas
- keep workstation and equipment clean, organized, sanitized and stocked
- use waste control guidelines and record spoilage
- maintain proper sanitation and food safety
- follow all company policies and procedures
- perform additional duties as assigned by Executive Chef or Chef
