Job Requirements
- Experience in a food and beverage setting required
- Valid Food Handlers Card required (company will cover training costs and compensation for time spent)
- Ability to work flexible hours including nights, weekends and holidays
- Ability to stand, walk, bend and lift up to 25 pounds regularly
- Ability to work with minimal supervision
- Ability to communicate effectively verbally and in writing
- Present a professional appearance and demeanor at all times
- Must be detail oriented and able to work in a fast-paced team environment
Job Qualifications
- Experience in a food and beverage setting
- Valid Food Handlers Card or SERV Safe certification
- Basic knowledge of food service health codes and sanitation standards
- Ability to read and interpret documents such as safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions and procedure manuals
- Ability to follow directions both verbal and written
- Strong organizational and planning skills
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- Positive attitude and strong customer service orientation
Job Duties
- Maintains sanitary and safe work environment
- Maintains clean dry floors and walls at all times, including sweeping and mopping
- Scrapes food from dirty dishes and washes them by hand or places them in racks or on conveyor to dishwashing machine
- Washes pots, pans, trays, worktables, walls, ranges, refrigerators and meat blocks
- Segregates and removes trash and garbage and places it in designated containers
- Hoses out or steam cleans garbage cans
- Transfers supplies and equipment between storage and work areas
- Sets up, maintains, and works the dishwashing stations at events
- Keeps all china, glass, and silver in place and in order
- Other duties as assigned by supervisor
