Job Requirements
- Bachelor degree in relevant field
- Minimum 12 years related experience or equivalent
- FAA commercial Multi Engine instrument rating
- Graduation from Military Test Pilot School
- Current FAA Class II Medical or higher
- Minimum 1,500 hours as Pilot in Command
- Current DoD Secret clearance
- Ability to obtain and maintain SAP clearance
- Willingness to travel up to 25% of the time
- Ability to work 100% on-site at Edwards AFB CA
Job Qualifications
- Bachelor degree plus 12 years of related experience
- Master’s degree plus 10 years of related experience
- PhD plus 9 years of related experience
- FAA commercial Multi Engine instrument rated pilot
- Military Test Pilot School graduate
- Minimum of 1,500 hours Pilot in Command
- Current FAA Class II Medical or higher
- Current DoD Secret clearance with recent investigation
- Ability to obtain and maintain SAP clearance
Job Duties
- Provide test pilot expertise to assigned programs
- Plan, develop and execute test flights to verify airworthiness and performance
- Validate compliance with specifications and determine operational effectiveness
- Partner with Flight Operations Manager and engineering teams for safe test operations
- Collaborate with customer pilots and program IPTs
- Provide inputs at formal reviews to ensure safe mission conduct
- Maintain proficiencies and promote flight test professional involvement
