Job Requirements
- Ability to lift 50 lbs following appropriate safety procedures
- Ability to work in an upright standing position for long periods
- Ability to crawl in small and tight spaces
- Ability to work in various environmental conditions such as heat, cold, wind, and rain
- Ability to walk and climb stairs
- Ability to handle, finger, grasp, and feel objects and equipment
- Ability to reach with hands and arms
- Ability to quickly and easily navigate property/building
- Ability to repeat various motions with wrists, hands, and fingers
- Ability to respond to emergencies promptly
- Ability to climb ladders and work at heights above ground level up to 3 ft
Job Qualifications
- High school diploma or equivalency preferred
- Previous custodial experience preferred
- Multiple language fluency is desirable
- Strong customer service skills
- Effective communication and interpersonal skills
- Ability to follow safety and security procedures
- Demonstrated ability to handle cleaning equipment and chemicals safely
Job Duties
- Perform a variety of cleaning and maintenance duties such as sweeping, mopping, shampooing, dusting, polishing, trash disposal, replacing light bulbs and window cleaning
- Inform supervisor of needed supplies
- Maintain all cleaning solutions in accordance with OSHA requirements for hazardous chemicals
- Remove trash from premises and assist in emergency cleaning
- Utilize new equipment properly and follow safety procedures
- Maintain a friendly and professional attitude
- Ensure appropriate levels of sanitary and cleaning supplies for assigned areas
- Inspect all assigned areas daily and report cleaning and maintenance discrepancies to supervisor
- Adhere to security procedures at all times
- Follow safety precautions while performing work
- Complete daily work orders as scheduled
- Maintain assigned equipment in good working condition
- Clean restrooms by sweeping and mopping floors, refilling dispensers, cleaning toilets, urinals, sinks, mirrors, and counters
- Report discrepancies or deficiencies to supervisor
- Ability to respond to emergencies in a timely manner
- Climb ladders and work at heights up to 3 feet
