Job Requirements

  • High school diploma or equivalency
  • completion of college-level courses in business or hospitality preferred
  • minimum of five years’ experience in the hospitality industry
  • effective written and verbal communication skills
  • proficiency in word, excel, and e-mail
  • ability to lift 30 to 50 lbs
  • ability to stand for long periods
  • ability to walk and climb stairs
  • ability to detect auditory and/or visual emergency alarms
  • ability to respond to emergencies in a timely manner
  • strong customer service and interpersonal skills

Job Qualifications

  • High school diploma or equivalency preferred
  • completion of college-level courses with concentration in business or hospitality is strongly desirable
  • five or more years’ experience in the hospitality industry
  • effective written and verbal communication skills
  • proficiency in word, excel spreadsheets, and e-mail
  • multiple language fluency is desirable
  • strong customer service, communication and interpersonal skills required

Job Duties

  • Identify and clarify residents’ needs and desires
  • answer questions
  • give directions and instructions
  • develop inventories of services
  • manage and screen messages
  • help residents establish accounts and schedule access for authorized vendors
  • provide services including planning arrangements and reservations for dining, tours, travel, entertainment, accommodations, rentals, gifts, sporting events, transportation, meetings, secretarial services, couriers, communication and mail services, personal appointments and medical services
  • remind residents of schedules
  • provide support and assistance
  • run errands
  • personalize services
  • anticipate services required by ascertaining mood and style of residents
  • organize social events and event planning and arrange services
  • improve services by obtaining and evaluating resident observations, opinions, and criticisms
  • maintain guest privacy and organizational reputation by keeping information confidential
  • update job knowledge by participating in educational opportunities and maintaining personal networks
  • enhance department and organizational reputation by accepting ownership for accomplishing new and different requests
  • follow safety procedures and maintain a safe work environment
  • perform other duties as required
