Job Requirements
- high school diploma or equivalent
- a.o.s. degree in culinary arts or culinary certificate preferred
- relevant culinary experience
- previous kitchen management experience
- computer skills including Microsoft Office and email
- ability to manage kitchen staff
- ServSafe certification preferred
- ability to participate in patient satisfaction programs
- excellent communication and leadership skills
Job Qualifications
- a.o.s. degree in culinary arts or culinary certificate and required experience
- some progressive culinary or kitchen management experience
- catering experience
- experience in high volume, complex foodservice operations
- knowledge of institutional and batch cooking
- comprehensive knowledge of food and catering trends focusing on quality, production, sanitation, food cost controls, and presentation
- computer proficiency including Microsoft Office, Outlook, email, and internet
- willingness to participate in patient satisfaction programs
- ServSafe certification preferred
Job Duties
- assist the Executive Chef with managing cost controls and control expenditures for the account
- assist the Executive Chef with planning and creating menus
- produce and execute catering events
- roll out new culinary programs in conjunction with company marketing and culinary team
- supervise hourly kitchen associates
- assist with ordering inventory
- maintain quality, sanitation, and food cost control standards
