Job Requirements

  • high school diploma or equivalent
  • a.o.s. degree in culinary arts or culinary certificate preferred
  • relevant culinary experience
  • previous kitchen management experience
  • computer skills including Microsoft Office and email
  • ability to manage kitchen staff
  • ServSafe certification preferred
  • ability to participate in patient satisfaction programs
  • excellent communication and leadership skills

Job Qualifications

  • a.o.s. degree in culinary arts or culinary certificate and required experience
  • some progressive culinary or kitchen management experience
  • catering experience
  • experience in high volume, complex foodservice operations
  • knowledge of institutional and batch cooking
  • comprehensive knowledge of food and catering trends focusing on quality, production, sanitation, food cost controls, and presentation
  • computer proficiency including Microsoft Office, Outlook, email, and internet
  • willingness to participate in patient satisfaction programs
  • ServSafe certification preferred

Job Duties

  • assist the Executive Chef with managing cost controls and control expenditures for the account
  • assist the Executive Chef with planning and creating menus
  • produce and execute catering events
  • roll out new culinary programs in conjunction with company marketing and culinary team
  • supervise hourly kitchen associates
  • assist with ordering inventory
  • maintain quality, sanitation, and food cost control standards
