Job Requirements

  • High school diploma or equivalent
  • Culinary training such as an A.O.S. degree or culinary certificate
  • Progressive experience in culinary or kitchen management
  • Proven experience in high volume foodservice operations
  • Computer skills including Microsoft Office and internet
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment
  • Willingness to participate in patient satisfaction programs if applicable
  • ServSafe certification preferred

Job Qualifications

  • A.O.S. Degree in Culinary Arts or culinary certificate and required experience
  • Some progressive culinary and kitchen management experience
  • Catering experience
  • Experience in high volume, complex foodservice operations
  • Knowledge of institutional and batch cooking
  • Comprehensive knowledge of food and catering trends
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint), Outlook, Email, and Internet
  • ServSafe certification
  • Ability to participate in patient satisfaction programs

Job Duties

  • Assist the Executive Chef with managing cost controls and controlling expenditures for the account
  • Assist the Executive Chef with planning and creating menus
  • Produce and execute catering events
  • Roll out new culinary programs in conjunction with company marketing and culinary team
  • Supervise hourly associates during food preparation and cooking
  • Develop daily menu items, their preparation, and garnishment
  • Ensure compliance with food quality, production, sanitation, and presentation standards
