Job Requirements

  • Minimum A.O.S. Degree in Culinary Arts or culinary certificate
  • Relevant culinary or kitchen management experience
  • Experience with catering
  • Knowledge of high volume foodservice operations
  • Familiarity with institutional and batch cooking
  • Strong computer skills including Microsoft Office and internet use
  • Willingness to participate in patient satisfaction activities
  • ServSafe certification preferred

Job Qualifications

  • A.O.S. Degree in Culinary Arts or culinary certificate and required experience
  • Some progressive culinary or kitchen management experience depending upon formal degree or training
  • Catering experience
  • Experience in high volume, complex foodservice operations
  • Knowledge of institutional and batch cooking
  • Comprehensive knowledge of food and catering trends focused on quality, production, sanitation, food cost controls, and presentation
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint), Outlook, Email, and Internet
  • ServSafe certified
  • Ability to participate in patient satisfaction programs

Job Duties

  • Assist the Executive Chef with managing cost controls and controlling expenditures for the account
  • Assist the Executive Chef with planning and creating menus
  • Produce and execute catering events
  • Roll out new culinary programs in conjunction with company marketing and culinary team
  • Supervise hourly associates and ensure proper food preparation and garnishment
  • Maintain high standards of food quality, sanitation, and presentation
  • Participate in patient satisfaction programs and activities
