Job Requirements

  • Minimum education of an A.O.S. degree in Culinary Arts or culinary certificate
  • progressive culinary experience including kitchen management
  • experience in high volume and complex foodservice operations preferred
  • proficiency in computer applications including Microsoft Office
  • ServSafe certification is highly desirable but not mandatory
  • ability to participate in patient satisfaction programs
  • willingness to supervise and lead a team of hourly associates
  • must be able to perform essential job functions with or without reasonable accommodation

Job Qualifications

  • A.O.S. degree in Culinary Arts or culinary certificate and required experience
  • some progressive culinary or kitchen management experience
  • catering experience a plus
  • high volume, complex foodservice operations experience highly desirable
  • institutional and batch cooking experiences helpful
  • comprehensive knowledge of food and catering trends focusing on quality, production, sanitation, food cost controls, and presentation
  • proficiency with computers including Microsoft Office, Outlook, email, and internet
  • ServSafe certified highly desirable
  • willingness to participate in patient satisfaction programs and activities

Job Duties

  • Assist the Executive Chef with managing cost controls and control expenditures for the account
  • assist the Executive Chef with planning and creating menus
  • produce and execute catering events
  • roll out new culinary programs in conjunction with company marketing and culinary team
  • supervise hourly associates and ensure compliance with food safety and sanitation standards
  • oversee preparation and cooking of various food items
  • collaborate with executive leadership to develop and implement daily menu items
