Job Requirements

  • Education to at least associate degree level or equivalent culinary certification
  • Proven experience in culinary or kitchen management roles
  • Strong knowledge of food safety and sanitation practices
  • Ability to manage food cost controls and budgeting
  • Proficiency with computer software including Microsoft Office applications
  • Willingness to participate in patient satisfaction programs and activities
  • Ability to supervise kitchen staff effectively

Job Qualifications

  • A.O.S. degree in culinary arts or culinary certificate and required experience
  • Some progressive culinary or kitchen management experience depending on formal degree or training
  • Catering experience a plus
  • Experience in high volume, complex foodservice operations
  • Knowledge of institutional and batch cooking
  • Comprehensive knowledge of food and catering trends with focus on quality, production, sanitation, food cost controls, and presentation
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook, email, and internet
  • ServSafe certified or willing to obtain certification

Job Duties

  • Assist the Executive Chef with managing cost controls and expenditures for the account
  • Assist the Executive Chef with planning and creating menus
  • Produce and execute catering events
  • Roll out new culinary programs in conjunction with company marketing and culinary teams
  • Supervise hourly kitchen staff
  • Ensure compliance with food safety and sanitation standards
  • Collaborate with Executive Chef on ordering and inventory management
