Job Requirements
- Must have an A.O.S. degree in culinary arts or a culinary certificate and relevant experience
- Experience in culinary or kitchen management
- Experience in catering or high-volume foodservice operations preferred
- Knowledge of food safety and sanitation standards
- Ability to manage and supervise kitchen staff
- Proficiency with computer applications including Microsoft Office suite
- ServSafe certification preferred
- Willingness to participate in customer satisfaction programs
Job Qualifications
- A.O.S. degree in culinary arts or culinary certificate and required experience
- Some progressive culinary or kitchen management experience depending upon formal degree or training
- Catering experience
- Experience in high volume, complex foodservice operations
- Knowledge of institutional and batch cooking
- Comprehensive understanding of food and catering trends focusing on quality, production, sanitation, food cost controls, and presentation
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint), Outlook, email and Internet
- ServSafe certification highly desirable
- Ability to participate in patient satisfaction programs
- Strong leadership and organizational skills
Job Duties
- Assist the Executive Chef with managing cost controls and controlling expenditures for the account
- Assist the Executive Chef with planning and creating menus
- Produce and execute catering events
- Roll out new culinary programs in conjunction with company marketing and culinary teams
- Supervise hourly associates and kitchen staff
- Ensure high standards of food quality, presentation, and sanitation
- Participate in patient satisfaction programs and activities
