Job Requirements
- Associate degree in Culinary Arts or equivalent certification
- minimum of 3 years progressive experience in culinary or kitchen management
- demonstrated experience in cost control and menu development
- proficiency in catering and high volume foodservice operations
- strong knowledge of food safety and sanitation standards
- ability to supervise and lead a culinary team
- excellent computer skills including Microsoft Office suite
- ServSafe certification preferred
- effective communication and interpersonal skills
- ability to participate in patient satisfaction initiatives
Job Qualifications
- A.O.S. degree in Culinary Arts or culinary certificate and required experience
- some progressive culinary or kitchen management experience depending upon formal degree or training
- catering experience a plus
- high volume complex foodservice operations experience highly desirable
- institutional and batch cooking experience helpful
- comprehensive knowledge of food and catering trends with focus on quality, production, sanitation, food cost controls, and presentation
- experienced with computers including Microsoft Office (Word, Excel and PowerPoint), Outlook, E-mail and Internet
- willingness to participate in patient satisfaction programs and activities
- ServSafe certified highly desirable
Job Duties
- Assist the Executive Chef with managing cost controls and control expenditures for the account
- assist the Executive Chef with planning and creating menus
- produce and execute catering events
- roll out new culinary programs in conjunction with company marketing and culinary team
- supervise hourly associates in food preparation and cooking
- develop daily menu items and their preparation and garnishment
- assist with ordering and inventory management
