Job Requirements

  • 3-5 years in mid-to-high-tier catering sales or event management
  • Bachelor’s degree in Event Management, Hospitality, Business, or related field preferred
  • Strong organizational skills
  • Exceptional communication and relationship-building abilities
  • Comfortable using event management and POS systems like Tripleseat, OpenTable, Toast, and Microsoft 365
  • Skilled in managing budgets and negotiating contracts
  • Available to work evenings, weekends, and holidays as needed
  • Must live within 30 minutes of Yamhill County, OR
  • Ability to travel frequently to nearby cities using personal vehicle with mileage reimbursement

Job Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in Event Management, Hospitality, Business, or related field preferred
  • 3-5 years of experience in mid-to-high-tier catering sales or event management, preferably multi-venue or wedding experience
  • Strong organizational and multitasking skills
  • Exceptional communication and relationship-building abilities
  • Proficient with event management and POS systems such as Tripleseat, OpenTable, Toast, and Microsoft 365
  • Skilled in budget management and contract negotiation
  • Ability to lead and develop team members effectively

Job Duties

  • Set the strategic sales framework by assessing market opportunities across industries
  • Proactively generate new business through cold calls, networking, industry events, and referrals
  • Meet with clients to understand their event vision and lead inspiring venue tours
  • Craft competitive proposals, negotiate contracts, and finalize event details to maximize profitability
  • Contribute to developing and executing innovative sales strategies aligned with company vision
  • Keep accurate records of client interactions, event details, and revenue forecasts using CRM tools
  • Support sales team members by balancing inquiries and outreach efforts
  • Lead and develop the Sales Associate to achieve team goals and individual potential
  • Serve as the primary contact ensuring seamless communication and service throughout event planning
  • Collaborate internally to transition clients smoothly to event planners
  • Conduct post-event check-ins to gather feedback and enhance future events
  • Provide support for larger events to maintain high client satisfaction
  • Maintain meticulous event documentation including contracts and schedules
  • Offer insights and feedback to refine event processes and improve results
