Job Requirements

  • High school diploma or GED
  • advanced level experience in FAR121 or FAR135 airline technical operations or 3rd party maintenance repair and overhaul or private/general aviation technical planning and maintenance scheduling or military technical planning and maintenance scheduling
  • U.S. citizenship or current authorization to work in the U.S.
  • must be at least 18 years of age
  • ability to work weekends, shifts, and holidays as required
  • ability to perform work duties from limited space work station, desk, or office area for extended periods of time
  • ability to communicate and interact in English
  • ability to use a computer and office productivity tools
  • must maintain a well-groomed appearance per company standards
  • must comply with company attendance standards

Job Qualifications

  • High school diploma or GED
  • advanced level experience in FAR121 or FAR135 airline technical operations, or 3rd party maintenance repair and overhaul, or private/general aviation technical planning and maintenance scheduling, or military technical planning and maintenance scheduling
  • strong knowledge of general functions, departments, processes, and business practices of a technical operations department in a major airline
  • skilled in Microsoft Office suite, especially Microsoft Outlook, Word, Excel, and Explorer
  • ability to review and understand technical publications such as task cards, engineering orders, and aircraft manuals
  • ability to manage aircraft-level projects and fleet campaigns and communicate progress
  • ability to navigate and update databases
  • strong ability to communicate effectively verbally and in writing with peer departments and maintenance stations
  • ability to utilize computerized data collection and maintenance automation systems
  • ability to manage multiple priorities and make critical decisions in a rapidly changing environment

Job Duties

  • Forecast, schedule, and optimize Line overnight ETOPS fleet maintenance, including daily review of dual maintenance restrictions and communications to maintenance stations
  • review daily operations exceptions and aircraft misroutes and collaborate with Flight Dispatch to make the required aircraft routing corrections
  • schedule and manage short-term critical fleet campaigns
  • manage activities applicable to Day 0 scheduled maintenance during irregular operations and flight schedule disruptions
  • communicate, collaborate, and support Maintenance Control, Maintenance Stations, and Flight Dispatch
  • audit and review daily maintenance reports ensuring all required maintenance is scheduled on or prior to the due date
  • research, authorize, and process carryovers of scheduled maintenance tasks
  • research, authorize, and communicate to MX Control aircraft manual unlock notifications
  • schedule, manage, communicate, and coordinate actions related to inactive aircraft, such as short-term/long-term parking, potable water disinfection, and requirements sensitive to inactivity
  • oversee and balance the workload vs. capacity expectations on Day 1 and Day 0 for Line overnight, hangar overnight, and multi-shift maintenance visits
  • manage, schedule, and coordinate annual potable water sampling and quarterly disinfects in accordance with EPA mandates
  • review, assess, set up, schedule, and coordinate daily short-term deferred defects, MELs, CDL's, and Ad Hoc tasks
  • assess, manage, and coordinate with Material Stores, AOG, and MX Control part shortages for scheduled work orders on Day 0
  • may perform other job duties as directed by employee's leaders
