Job Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree
  • Minimum of 2 years relevant experience and/or training
  • Experience in corporate or conference center management preferred
  • Certified Meeting Professional (CMP) preferred
  • Comfortable meeting and engaging with new people
  • Warm and engaging demeanor
  • Ability to assess circumstances, empathize and offer help
  • Ability to comprehend, analyze, and interpret complex documents
  • Ability to solve problems involving several options
  • Advanced analytical and quantitative skills
  • Intermediate Microsoft Office Suite skills
  • Ability to work in multiple software platforms and learn quickly
  • Good organizational skills
  • Ability to work well under pressure and take proactive approach

Job Qualifications

Job Duties

  • Lead complex master meeting and events calendar for medium to large sized event space
  • Responsible for all communications and planning meetings with event staff
  • Proactively plan logistics across the master calendar
  • Manage each event as a project from planning through execution
  • Create and lead detailed event planning timelines
  • Participate or lead planning calls representing the site
  • Ensure all event aspects comply with safety and security regulations
  • Coordinate with internal partners and external vendors to meet client expectations
  • Manage food and beverage including menu planning and client consultation
  • Act as key contact for seamless event delivery by the operations team
  • Capture post-event reporting and reconciliation
  • Suggest recommendations for continuous improvement and cost/process efficiencies
  • Provide informal guidance to junior team members
  • Support budget creation and ensure budget adherence
  • Request and review invoices timely
