Job Requirements

  • Minimum 7+ years of relevant industry experience in catering and retail foodservice
  • At least 3 years leadership experience in live sport industry
  • Experience managing high-volume food operations, especially in sports arenas or cultural festivals
  • Demonstrated success in maintaining high food quality and guest experience standards
  • Strong passion for storytelling through food and authentic hospitality
  • Proven ability to build excellent working relationships with diverse stakeholders
  • Experience delivering complex projects on time and within budget
  • Experience working with senior managers across multiple functional areas
  • Excellent leadership skills including people development and budget management
  • Extremely detail-oriented with superior organizational skills
  • Strong communication, team building, and interpersonal abilities
  • Well-developed problem-solving capability and independent work skills
  • Fluency with Microsoft Excel and PowerPoint
  • Ability to communicate in multiple languages preferred
  • Ability to travel between units in crowded conditions to perform physical operational audits

  • Proficient with Office suite including Microsoft Excel and PowerPoint

  • Experience collaborating with senior managers across multiple functional areas

Job Duties

  • Hire, train, motivate, and evaluate venue management teams for assigned properties
  • Directly supervise multiple sub-functions including retail operations, contract implementation, and amenity catering operations for assigned properties
  • Adhere to unit budgets with clear steps to implement, monitor, and appropriately measure plan deliverables through financial metric and KPI tracking
  • Implement operational growth plan from present through Games time
  • Oversee and implement training programs in conjunction with selected partners to deliver optimized revenues and customer service
  • Work with Food and Beverage team, key LA28 functional areas, and external stakeholders to implement overall food vision and strategy, integration with sustainability plan, menu development, and service levels by constituent group
  • Implement cost-control measures without compromising quality or guest satisfaction
  • Oversee implementation of negotiated contractual terms with partners at assigned competition venues
  • Support the establishment of core planning principles, including operational and service design plan
  • Support the development of inclusive hospitality strategies to create frictionless guest experiences to meet diverse physical, cultural, and dietary needs
  • Support development of spatial allocations for both back of house and front of house kitchens and serveries as well as equipment needs
  • Support development and implementation of venue QA strategy, policies, documentation, and tracking systems to ensure safe food handling and incident response
  • Implement sustainable practices in food sourcing, waste sorting and reduction, and energy efficiency
  • Establish close working relationships with key functional areas to ensure Food and Beverage strategy maximizes revenue and minimizes costs
  • Assist in areas of changing departmental focus and initiative with flexibility and willingness to shift focus as needed
