Job Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree or 4 years of equivalent experience
- 5+ years of event marketing experience
- Experience with festival activations or large contests
- Meticulous attention to detail
- Strong understanding of marketing metrics
- Proficiency with Microsoft PowerPoint, Excel, Word
- Exceptional leadership and vendor management skills
- Ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously
- Creative and innovative mindset
Job Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience in Marketing, Communications, or related field
- 5+ years of event marketing experience with success in large-scale brand activations
- Experience managing festival activations, contests, sponsorships, or experiential campaigns
- Strong understanding of marketing metrics and ability to analyze data
- Proficiency in Microsoft PowerPoint, Excel, and Word
- Exceptional cross-functional leadership, vendor management, and communication skills
- Ability to manage multiple large projects in a fast-paced environment
- Creative thinker passionate about crafting memorable brand experiences
Job Duties
- Own the strategy, ideation, and end-to-end execution of national brand activations
- Co-design national programming for in-store clinics, masterclasses, and community-building events that inspire musicians
- Lead planning and execution of artist meet-and-greets, performances, and product launches
- Oversee Guitar Center’s presence at major festivals, concerts, and cultural events including logistics and amplification
- Manage nationwide contests and talent discovery programs that build brand affinity
- Partner with marketing, social, content, stores, e-commerce, PR, and vendors for cohesive omnichannel promotion
- Build and maintain the national event calendar and lead annual planning including budgeting and forecasting
