Job Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in international trade, accounting, or related discipline
- US Customs Broker's License in good standing with US Customs and Border Protection required
- Ten or more years of related professional experience
- Five or more years in trade compliance management position in automotive, manufacturing or complex industry
- Experience in supplier FTA solicitations
- Experience in RVC and LVC calculations
- Knowledge of US and foreign customs procedures and requirements
- Extensive knowledge of USMCA rules and regulations
- Proficiency in MS Office Products (Word, Excel, PowerPoint)
- Working knowledge of Automated Commercial Environment (ACE), ACE Portal, Automated Broker Interface (ABI)
- Excellent verbal and written skills
Job Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in accounting, international trade, or a related discipline
- US Customs Broker's License in good standing with US Customs and Border Protection
- Extensive knowledge of customs, trade, content and origin regulations and compliance
- Experience in trade compliance management, preferably in automotive or manufacturing industries
- Proficiency in MS Office products including Word, Excel, and PowerPoint
- Working knowledge of Automated Commercial Environment (ACE), ACE Portal, and Automated Broker Interface (ABI)
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills
Job Duties
- Develops and manages trade and content-related regulatory compliance programs and procedures for special tariff and trade programs
- Calculates duty by model and tariff forecasts for production vehicles and parts
- Leads ongoing cross functional governance reviews for USMCA with major facets of the business
- Develops strategies for implementation and compliance for USMCA and all US/Canada FTAs
- Interfaces with various departments to analyze and compare the impact of country of origin of potential sourcing decisions
- Reviews, validates, and provides submissions and responses to US CBP, Mexico SAT, Canada CBSA, and the office of the United States Trade Representative
- Manages internal reviews and external audits pertaining to content-related activities
- Manages interfaces with external service providers related to content activity
- Manages analysis and interpretation of economic factors impacting trade compliance for current and future production
- Manages employees by establishing performance goals, allocating resources, and assessing performance
