- Holder of valid and current Food Handler Certification
- high school diploma or equivalent preferred
- basic knowledge of health and safety rules

Job Qualifications
- Previous line cook experience
- 1-4 years high volume food service experience, preferably in larger innovative corporate programs

Job Duties
- Prepares and cooks to order foods requiring short preparation time
- reads food order or receives verbal instructions on food required by patron and prepares and cooks food according to instructions
- performs made to order cooking and grill cooking duties in preparing food items to be served to customers
- follows basic recipes and/or product directions for preparing, seasoning, cooking, tasting, carving and serving soups, meats, vegetables, desserts and other foodstuffs
- prepares foods by operating a variety of kitchen equipment to measure and mix ingredients, washing, peeling, cutting and shredding fruits and vegetables, trimming and cutting meat, poultry or fish
- tastes products, reads menus, estimates food requirements, checks production, and keeps records to plan production requirements and requisition supplies
- may select recipes per menu cycle, prepare bakery items, receive inventory, move and lift food items and supplies, prepare meals for special diets
- cleans and sanitizes workstations and equipment
- sets steam tables and ensures proper serving of food
