Job Requirements

  • High school diploma or equivalent
  • Minimum of 2 years customer-facing experience in food service, hospitality, or retail
  • Ability to read, write, follow instructions, and be understood in English
  • Basic computer skills
  • Flexibility to work at all UCSF Medical Center locations
  • Ability to meet physical job demands

Job Qualifications

  • High school diploma or equivalent

  • Ability to meet physical job demands
  • Two years of college or equivalent preferred
  • State of California Food Handler or Servsafe certification preferred

Job Duties

  • Provide safe, accurate, and timely patient food service
  • Stock and serve portion controlled hot and cold food
  • Replenish and restock work stations and service stations
  • Assemble, deliver, and collect patient trays
  • Maintain cleanliness and sanitation of work stations and equipment
  • Provide excellent patient and nursing interactions
  • Serve as an ambassador for the Nutrition and Food Services department
