Job Requirements
- High school diploma or equivalent
- minimum of 2 years of customer-facing experience within food service, hospitality, or retail industries
- ability to read, write, follow written or oral instructions in English
- basic computer skills
- flexibility to orient and work at all UCSF Medical Center locations
- ability to meet physical demands involved with job duties

- preferred State of California Food Handler certification or Servsafe certification
Job Duties
- Provide safe and accurate food service
- assemble and serve portion-controlled hot and cold food
- replenish and stock food service stations
- clean and sanitize food service areas and equipment
- perform retail food service duties including serving, cashiering, bussing, and barista tasks
- assemble and deliver patient meal trays
- support catering services setup, serving, and cleanup
- conduct deep cleaning of kitchen equipment and floors
- receive, rotate, stock, and issue food and supplies
- responsibly handle cash, credit card, and debit card transactions
- maintain excellent customer, patient, and staff interactions
