Job Requirements

  • High school diploma or equivalent
  • Minimum of 2 years of customer facing experience within the food service, hospitality or retail industries
  • Read, write, follow written or oral instructions and be understood in English
  • Basic computer skills
  • Flexibility to orient and work at all UCSF Medical Center locations
  • Ability to meet physical demands involved with job duties
  • Ability to work in warm and/or wet environments
  • Willingness to work varied shifts including days, evenings, nights, weekends, and variable hours

Job Qualifications

  • High school diploma or equivalent
  • Minimum of 2 years customer-facing experience in food service, hospitality, or retail industries
  • Ability to read, write, and follow written or oral instructions in English
  • Basic computer skills
  • Flexibility to work at all UCSF Medical Center locations
  • Ability to meet physical job demands
  • Two years of college or equivalent preferred
  • State of California Food Handler or Servsafe certification preferred

Job Duties

  • Provide safe, accurate, timely food service
  • Clean and sanitize food service areas and equipment
  • Perform detailed deep cleaning of kitchen equipment
  • Maintain cleanliness of floors and floor mats
  • Sort and remove waste appropriately
  • Execute dishroom and potroom duties
  • Work in warm and/or wet environments as required
