Job Requirements
- High School diploma or equivalent
- Minimum of two years of customer-facing experience in food service, hospitality, or retail industries
- Ability to read, write, follow written or oral instructions, and be understood in English
- Basic computer skills
- Flexibility to orient and work at all UCSF Medical Center locations
- Ability to meet physical demands involved with job duties
- Availability to work days, evenings, weekends, and variable shifts
Job Qualifications
- High School diploma or equivalent
- Minimum of two years of customer-facing experience in food service, hospitality, or retail
- Basic computer skills
- Ability to read, write, follow instructions, and communicate effectively in English
- Preferred: Two years of college or equivalent
- Preferred: State of California Food Handler certification or Servsafe certification
Job Duties
- Provide safe, accurate, and timely patient food service
- Stock and serve portion-controlled hot and cold food
- Replenish service stations and restock workstations
- Assemble, deliver, and collect patient trays
- Maintain cleanliness and sanitation of work stations and equipment
- Provide excellent patient and nursing interactions
- Represent the Nutrition and Food Services department as an ambassador
