Job Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree from a four-year institution preferred
  • Minimum 8 years of experience in event technology or related roles
  • Experience managing high-touch events with executive-level attendees
  • Proven project management skills across multiple concurrent events
  • Ability to independently manage work and oversee team deliverables
  • Availability for up to 20% domestic and international travel
  • Proficiency in multiple event management tools
  • Strong communication, organizational, and leadership capabilities
  • Ability to work remotely within the United States
  • Willingness to maintain confidentiality and professionalism
  • Ability to adapt to fast-paced and changing environments

Job Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree preferred
  • 8+ years of relevant experience, preferably in corporate event management
  • Experience with event management platforms such as Rainfocus, Swoogo, Stova, Cvent, Eventbase, Airtable
  • Demonstrated ability to manage high-touch, small-scale events requiring discretion, diplomacy, and professionalism
  • Supervisor experience preferred
  • Strong verbal, written, and presentation communication skills
  • Excellent documentation skills
  • Ability to prioritize multiple projects in fast-paced environments
  • Experience in leading teams and managing deliverables
  • Proficiency with Microsoft, Google Suite, Slack, Zoom, Monday.com, and file sharing platforms
  • Strong critical thinking, analytical, and problem-solving skills
  • Solid math skills for budget management and data analysis

Job Duties

  • Act as the primary point of contact for clients, internal stakeholders, and vendors for all event technology and registration workstreams
  • Serve as the overall Opus project lead on small to mid-sized events with exclusively event technology and registration services
  • Understand all workstreams supported by Opus Event Technology and Registration and represent these workstreams to clients as Opus team lead
  • Oversee all assigned tasks on multiple concurrent projects across event types
  • Develop, maintain, and drive workback schedules
  • Lead the planning, execution, and closeout of attendee-facing event technology projects primarily for registration websites, content/session scheduling, session scanning, exhibitor resource centers, speaker resource centers, mobile apps, and customer service
  • Demonstrate proficiency in digital platforms and tools
  • consult clients on configuration best practices
  • Create and maintain internal process documentation aligned with team members
  • Manage documentation and content for platform/tool builds, translating business objectives into detailed technical specifications and project plans
  • Lead complex client and team meetings including platform demos and technical discussions
  • Proactively identify potential risks with robust mitigation strategies
  • Deliver projects within time and budget
  • Oversee complex onsite deployments including badge pick-up and session scanning
  • Lead and contribute to internal trainings and resource improvements
