Job Requirements
- 8+ years of relevant experience
- bachelor's degree preferred
- management experience preferred
- experience with event technology platforms such as Rainfocus, Cvent, or similar
- strong communication skills

Job Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree from four-year institution preferred
- 8+ years of experience in event technology or related roles
- Proven experience managing large, high-touch corporate events from concept to execution
- Experience with Rainfocus, Swoogo, Stova, Cvent, Eventbase, Airtable preferred
- Prior supervisory experience preferred
- Experience with content management and group housing management preferred
- Strong critical thinking and problem-solving skills
- Excellent communication and presentation skills
- Skilled in documentation and managing multiple projects in fast-paced environments
- Able to adapt to frequent interruptions and last-minute changes
- Collaborative with clients, colleagues, and vendors
- Self-motivated with proactive learning and development
- Providing constructive feedback professionally
- Proficiency with Microsoft, Google, Slack, Zoom, Monday.com, and file sharing platforms
- Solid math skills for data analysis and budgeting
- Ability to interpret varied instructions and solve non-standard problems
Job Duties
- Lead the planning, execution, and closeout of attendee-facing event technology projects including registration, content/session scheduling, session scanning, exhibitor and speaker resource centers, mobile apps, and customer service
- Serve as the overall Opus project lead on small to mid-sized events with exclusively event technology and registration services
- Understand all workstreams supported by Opus Event Technology and Registration including technical architecture, platform configuration, housing management, customer service and represent these to clients as Opus team lead
- Oversee all assigned tasks on multiple concurrent projects across event types
- Act as primary point of contact for clients, internal stakeholders, and vendors for all event technology and registration workstreams
- Demonstrate proficiency in digital platforms and tools including functionality, user experience, troubleshooting, and consult clients on configuration best practices
- Develop, maintain, and drive workback schedules
- Manage documentation and content for platform/tool builds translating business objectives into technical specifications, documented processes, and project plans
- Lead complex client and team meetings including platform demos and technical discussions
- Proactively identify potential risks and develop robust mitigation strategies escalating critical issues to senior management
- Deliver projects within time and budgetary requirements
- Oversee complex onsite deployments including badge pick-up and session scanning
- Develop attendee support plans, badge security plans, and risk mitigation strategies
- Lead and contribute to internal trainings and resources and recommend process and resource improvements
- Supervise work of project team members and temporary onsite staff
- Act as event supervisor and may manage full-time direct reports
