Job Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in event management, sports management, or business administration
  • Minimum of 4 years of experience in event coordination or event management
  • Proven knowledge of sports and entertainment event operations
  • Strong organizational and time management skills
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal abilities
  • Availability to work flexible hours including evenings, weekends, and holidays
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications
  • Ability to procure event rentals and manage vendor contracts
  • Physical ability to stand, walk, climb stairs for extended periods and lift up to 50 lbs
  • Commitment to uphold health, safety, and regulatory standards during events

Job Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in event management, sports management, business administration, or a related field
  • Minimum of 4 years of experience in an Event Coordinator or Event Manager role
  • Knowledge of sports and entertainment event management and/or event operations
  • Positive, service-oriented attitude
  • Excellent oral and written communication skills
  • Must be extremely organized and have excellent time management skills
  • Excellent relationship building, communication and interpersonal skills, with ability to present ideas clearly and effectively
  • Superior attention to detail and customer service
  • Ability to work flexible hours including nights and weekends, as needed
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint)
  • Must be able to procure rentals for events
  • Must be able to work long hours including nights, weekends and holidays as events dictate
  • Must be able to stand and walk for long periods of time and climb stairs as needed
  • Must be able to lift objects up to 50 lbs

Job Duties

  • Lead the end-to-end planning, coordination, and delivery of all NC Courage events, including ticketing, partnership, community, and club initiatives
  • Develop comprehensive event strategies, timelines, budgets, and operational plans to ensure consistent, high-quality execution across all departments
  • Serve as the senior event lead for major club and partner events, managing logistics, staffing, and execution while ensuring alignment with organizational objectives
  • Oversee relationships with vendors, contractors, and sponsors, negotiating contracts and securing resources to meet event requirements
  • Direct internal collaboration across marketing, partnerships, operations, and ticketing to ensure seamless and efficient event delivery
  • Lead pre-event briefings and post-event debriefs, providing strategic insights and actionable recommendations for continuous improvement
  • Lead the planning and execution of the NC Courage pre-match party at our local partner venue, delivering an exceptional fan experience and driving community engagement
  • Assist the Partnership Marketing Team and other departments with game day activations
  • Serve as the on-site event lead at the pre-match party, managing logistics, staff coordination, and quality control to uphold the club's professional standards
  • Act as the primary point of contact for all event-related matters, maintaining strong, professional relationships with internal and external stakeholders
  • Collaborate closely with sponsors, vendors, and venue management to deliver successful events and support partnership retention
  • Communicate effectively across departments to align event objectives with broader club goals
  • Develop, monitor, and reconcile event budgets, ensuring fiscal responsibility and adherence to financial targets
  • Manage all event-related expenses, vendor payments, and post-event financial reporting
  • Ensure all events adhere to health, safety, and regulatory requirements
  • Develop and implement risk management and contingency plans to mitigate potential issues and maintain operational integrity
  • Lead comprehensive post-event evaluations, including feedback collection, performance analysis, and recommendations for improvement
  • Prepare and present detailed post-event reports to senior leadership, highlighting outcomes, learnings, and ROI
