Job Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience
  • Five to seven years of foodservice operational management experience
  • Knowledge of inventory and purchasing control
  • Understanding of food and catering trends
  • P&L accountability experience preferred
  • Strong leadership and coaching abilities
  • Effective communication skills
  • Proficient in computer applications
  • ServSafe certification

Job Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in Food Services Technology, Management or related field preferred
  • Five to seven years of direct foodservice operational management experience
  • Strong knowledge of food and catering trends focusing on quality, production, sanitation, food cost control, and presentation
  • Previous P&L accountability or contract-managed service experience desirable
  • Strong supervisory, leadership, management, and coaching skills
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
  • Proficient computer skills including Microsoft Office and email
  • ServSafe certified

Job Duties

  • Develop and implement overall operating strategy that aligns with Compass Community Living and client business strategy
  • Take full ownership of business outcomes and hold on-site leadership accountable for service behaviors
  • Evaluate personnel, operations, and culinary situations and make appropriate recommendations
  • Perform daily walk-throughs to ensure compliance with Department of Health regulations and standards
  • Direct and conduct safety, sanitation, and maintenance programs
  • Lead pre-meal briefings and staff meetings to ensure ongoing communication
  • Advise executives, supervisors, and team members on relevant information in a timely manner
