Job Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in business administration, communication or related field or equivalent experience
  • Minimum ten years of experience in fundraising, corporate sales, conference events or sports management
  • At least five years of experience in a director-level or higher role
  • Ability to travel more than 25 percent including overnight stays
  • Residency in Lawrence, Kansas
  • Experience in non-profit or membership-driven association valued but not required
  • Knowledge or interest in golf industry preferred

Job Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in business administration, communication or related field or equivalent experience
  • MBA a plus
  • Minimum ten years of experience in fundraising, corporate sales, conference events or sports management
  • At least five years of experience at director level or higher
  • Experience in non-profit or membership-driven association valued but not required
  • Knowledge of golf course management or interest in the golf industry preferred
  • Excellent written, verbal and presentation skills
  • Ability to manage multiple projects in a fast-paced environment

Job Duties

  • Lead GCSAA Foundation fundraising efforts to support advocacy, education and research
  • Drive corporate sales revenue growth through industry partnerships
  • Plan and execute the GCSAA Conference and Trade Show and other association events
  • Manage a multidisciplinary team and foster cross-department collaboration
  • Build and maintain external relationships with donors, prospects and industry partners
  • Implement new ideas to improve project quality and success
  • Provide constructive feedback and lead team development
