Job Requirements
- High school diploma or equivalent
- Physical ability to perform tasks involving pulling pushing twisting reaching bending kneeling crouching walking standing and lifting
- Strength to lift up to 50 pounds
- Normal vision and hearing acuity
- Ability to read write speak and understand English
- Exposure to cleaning agents water dust blood and human body fluids
- Ability to move heavy objects such as beds isolates cribs and ohio tables weighing up to 350 pounds
- Ability to handle all EVS equipment including floor machines wet mop mop buckets custodial carts dust mops and vacuums
Job Qualifications
- High school diploma or equivalent
- Strong people skills
- Ability to use EVS cleaning equipment
- Ability to follow detailed cleaning protocols
- Experience in custodial or cleaning services helpful but not required
- Ability to communicate effectively in English
Job Duties
- Provide fast efficient and high quality cleaning services
- Use the EVS Seven-Step Cleaning methods to sanitize patient rooms and common areas
- Handle and operate all EVS equipment including floor machines wet mops mop buckets custodial carts dust mops and vacuums
- Move beds isolates cribs and ohio tables weighing up to 350 pounds
- Follow hospital safety and infection control protocols
- Interact professionally with patients visitors and hospital staff
- Maintain cleaning supplies and report any maintenance or safety issues
