Job Requirements
- Bachelor's degree required
- 12+ years experience in capital project management, asset management, engineering, or architecture preferably within hotel environments
- Familiarity and experience with large building facilities systems
- Well-developed and effective team skills

Job Duties
- Maintain and update 5 year capital planning roadmaps for assigned hotels
- Own capital project delivery end-to-end including project scope, planning, financial reporting, vendor management, scheduling, and cost management
- Create and manage detailed project plans including budgets, schedules, and scopes of work
- Maintain accurate project cash flows and report on project status, cash flow, contingency management, and change control
- Identify and escalate project risks
- Manage contract and invoice processes, ensure certificates of insurance are current
- Maintain records of completed capital projects, warranty coverage, and all project documentation
- Manage project documentation including punch lists and closeout information
- Coordinate internal stakeholders including operations, design, legal, accounting, procurement, fixed assets, and brand teams
- Track budget performance including forecasting, re-forecasting, and variance reporting
- Update project tracking tools and reporting dashboards
- Assist in budget planning cycles both annual and rolling
- Manage relationships with external vendors, contractors, and consultants
- Chair and document regular project meetings
- Provide high level project reporting
- Improve internal templates and processes to enhance efficiency and compliance
- Ensure permitting, inspections, and project closeouts align with project schedules
- Support and lead high priority emergency projects such as HVAC failure and flood response
- Serve as a flexible resource across the team when needed
- Abide by Sonesta Standard Operating Procedures for capital project management and change control
- Support, comply with, and promote company initiatives, policies and guidelines
- Track and report project status
- Identify potential issues and escalate to key stakeholders with focus on prompt resolution
- Ensure success through the eyes of employees, guests, and owners
- Collaborate with resources across corporate office, properties, and consultants
- Influence employees and consultants to perform at their highest standard, fostering trust and enriching culture
