Job Requirements
- High school diploma or equivalent
- minimum of 3 years experience in back-of-house management
- ability to work standing for long periods
- capability to bend, stoop, and lift up to 50 pounds
- availability to work five days a week including weekends and holidays
- fluent in English
- strong time management and organizational skills
- reliable and stable work history
Job Qualifications
- Experience in back-of-house cooking and management in a high-volume cafe or casual restaurant
- proficiency in profit and loss management
- knowledge of food safety practices with preferred RAMP and ServeSafe certification
- skilled in ordering, receiving, and inventory control
- ability to manage and motivate a team of 5-10 employees
- competency with computer programs such as Excel and Word
- excellent communication and leadership skills
Job Duties
- Build and strengthen the back-of-house team
- manage food costs and maximize profitability
- oversee ordering, receiving, and inventory
- maintain purveyor relationships
- train and motivate kitchen staff
- ensure food safety compliance
- schedule staff and create menus
