Job Requirements

  • High school diploma or equivalent
  • minimum of 3 years experience in back-of-house management
  • ability to work standing for long periods
  • capability to bend, stoop, and lift up to 50 pounds
  • availability to work five days a week including weekends and holidays
  • fluent in English
  • strong time management and organizational skills
  • reliable and stable work history

Job Qualifications

  • Experience in back-of-house cooking and management in a high-volume cafe or casual restaurant
  • proficiency in profit and loss management
  • knowledge of food safety practices with preferred RAMP and ServeSafe certification
  • skilled in ordering, receiving, and inventory control
  • ability to manage and motivate a team of 5-10 employees
  • competency with computer programs such as Excel and Word
  • excellent communication and leadership skills

Job Duties

  • Build and strengthen the back-of-house team
  • manage food costs and maximize profitability
  • oversee ordering, receiving, and inventory
  • maintain purveyor relationships
  • train and motivate kitchen staff
  • ensure food safety compliance
  • schedule staff and create menus
