Job Requirements

  • Minimum 5 years of progressive experience in hotel Rooms or Food & Beverage departments
  • Supervisory experience required
  • Proficient in Windows operating systems
  • Ability to evaluate and select courses of action quickly and accurately
  • Ability to work well under stress
  • Maintain composure under pressure
  • Effective workplace problem-solving skills
  • Ability to assimilate complex information from various sources
  • Strong listening and communication skills
  • Basic financial literacy
  • Clear and concise communication skills

Job Qualifications

  • At least 5 years progressive experience in Rooms or Food & Beverage department in a hotel
  • 4-year college degree with 2 to 3 years experience in hotel Rooms or Food & Beverage department
  • 2-year college degree with 3 to 4 years experience in hotel Rooms or Food & Beverage department
  • Previous supervisory experience
  • Proficient in Windows operating systems
  • Ability to quickly evaluate and select among alternative actions
  • Capability to work well under stressful, high-pressure situations
  • Maintain composure and objectivity under pressure
  • Effective problem-solving skills in the workplace
  • Ability to assimilate and adjust complex information
  • Strong listening and communication skills
  • Basic understanding of financial information and arithmetic
  • Clear and effective conveyance of information and ideas

Job Duties

  • Approach all encounters with guests and employees in an attentive, friendly, courteous and service oriented manner
  • Maintain regular attendance in compliance with Aimbridge Hospitality standards as required by scheduling
  • Maintain high standards of personal appearance and grooming, including compliance with dress code and wearing a nametag
  • Comply with Aimbridge Hospitality standards to ensure safe and efficient operations
  • Comply with certification requirements such as Food Handlers, Alcohol Awareness, CPR and First Aid
  • Supervise and support Guest Services, Food & Beverage, Food Production, Engineering, Accounting, Sales, and Housekeeping departments in the absence of the General Manager
  • Use training materials to develop self across operational departments and understand each position’s impact
  • Assist in revenue generation programs and participate in sales efforts
  • Develop managerial and hourly employees through corporate-approved training programs
  • Facilitate employee empowerment to enhance guest satisfaction
  • Assist in creating financial reports and meet all corporate deadlines
  • Participate in Manager on Duty coverage as scheduled
  • Ensure training in service standards is consistently implemented
  • Manage recruiting, hiring, and training for Guest Services based on occupancy
  • Greet guests in public areas during peak times
  • Maintain hotel safe handling procedures and perform monthly safe audits
  • Ensure scheduled meetings take place on the property
