Job Requirements

  • Must be able to stand and walk for an eight hour shift
  • Ability to push, pull, bend, stoop and climb stairs
  • Open availability including days, evenings, weekends and holidays

Job Qualifications

  • High school diploma or equivalent preferred
  • Previous housekeeping or housekeeping aide experience preferred but not required
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team
  • Strong communication skills
  • Commitment to excellent guest service

Job Duties

  • Be attentive, friendly, helpful and courteous to guests, managers and fellow associates at all times
  • Walk assigned floors at the beginning and end of shifts to remove newspapers, trash, linens and note areas needing cleaning
  • Maintain cleanliness of guest vending areas, elevator landings, linen closets, and housekeeping department storage areas
  • Assist Room Attendants with removal of dirty linen and trash and help with moving furniture, rollaways, flipping mattresses
  • Report maintenance issues to Housekeeping Supervisor or Manager
  • Be familiar with correct guestroom cleaning procedures to assist in cleaning if needed
  • Collect trash from service landings and dispose of it in outside dumpsters per hotel procedures
  • Vacuum guest corridors
  • Deliver clean linen to assigned sections
  • Maintain cleanliness and organization of housekeeping areas, linen rooms, storage closets and stairwells
