Job Requirements
- Must be able to stand and walk for an eight hour shift
- Physical requirements include pushing, pulling, bending, stooping, and climbing stairs
- Must have open availability to work days, evenings, weekends, and holidays
- Must be attentive, friendly, and courteous
- Must be able to follow hotel cleaning and safety procedures
- Commitment to providing excellent guest service
- Ability to lift and move heavy items as needed
Job Qualifications
- High school diploma or equivalent preferred
- Strong attention to detail
- Ability to work effectively in a team environment
- Good communication and interpersonal skills
- Willingness to learn and cross-train in other hospitality roles
- Previous housekeeping experience preferred but not required
- Ability to maintain confidentiality of guest information
Job Duties
- Be attentive, friendly, helpful, and courteous to guests, managers, and associates
- Walk assigned floors at beginning and end of shift, remove newspapers, trash, and linens, note areas needing immediate cleaning
- Maintain cleanliness of guest vending areas, elevator landings, linen closets, and housekeeping department storage areas
- Assist Room Attendants with removing dirty linens and trash, help with moving furniture, rollaways, and flipping mattresses
- Report maintenance issues to Housekeeping Supervisor or Manager
- Be familiar with correct guestroom cleaning procedures to assist when needed
- Collect and dispose of trash from service landings as per hotel procedures
- Vacuum guest corridors
- Deliver clean linen to assigned sections
- Maintain cleanliness and organization of housekeeping areas, linen rooms, storage closets, and stairwells
