Job Requirements

  • High school diploma or equivalent
  • One to two years of experience in customer service or recreation setting with direct contact with adults and children
  • Valid driver’s license in the Commonwealth of Virginia

Job Qualifications

  • High school diploma or equivalent with one to two years of experience in customer service role or recreation setting with direct contact with adults and children
  • Any equivalent combination of education, training, and experience which provides the requisite knowledge, skills, and abilities for this job
  • Valid driver’s license in the Commonwealth of Virginia

Job Duties

  • Responsible for the safety of all the program participants
  • Applies disciplinary actions in accordance with program guidelines
  • Set up and break down of equipment needed for the operation of the program
  • Paperwork to include incident/accident reports
  • Required to attend all mandatory trainings mandated by the County or the State
  • Supervision of program participants during program activities
  • Ensure all utilized areas are left in clean and free of clutter
  • Provide assistants at other activities and or programs within the Department of Parks and Recreation
  • Observes all approved safety and health policies and procedures of an employee's work activities and performs all work tasks safely and healthily in accordance with County policy
  • Performs other assigned duties
