Job Requirements
- Education may be substituted for experience
- Demonstrated experience in planning, supervising, administering, or carrying out a sports program
- Experience equivalent to the next lower grade level
- Must comply with military spouse recruitment procedures if applicable
- Resumes must be two pages or less and clearly demonstrate relevant experience, skills, knowledge, and abilities
Job Qualifications
- Undergraduate degree in physical education
- Experience in planning and executing sports programs including individual and team sports
- Ability to educate and develop skills in sport participation
- Experience in officiating amateur or professional athletic events or tournaments
- Strong knowledge of sports techniques and program administration
- Effective communication and leadership skills
- Demonstrated experience equivalent to the next lower grade level
Job Duties
- Plan and supervise sports programs that include individual and team sports
- Administer sports activities and guide participants in developing necessary skills
- Teach techniques of various sports to diverse groups
- Manage, umpire, or officiate at amateur or professional athletic events and competitions
- Plan and evaluate physical education curricula or sports programs
- Coordinate sports events and ensure compliance with guidelines
- Foster a safe and engaging sports environment for all participants
