Job Requirements

  • One year of line cook experience in a similar environment
  • Possession of valid food-handler’s permit
  • Understanding of professional cooking and knife handling skills
  • Understanding and knowledge of safety, sanitation and food handling procedures
  • Ability to work at least one station on the line successfully
  • Ability to take direction and work in a team environment
  • Ability to work calmly and effectively under pressure
  • Ability to communicate effectively in verbal form
  • Ability to maintain cleanliness and organization
  • Ability to establish and maintain effective working relationships with coworkers

Job Duties

  • Prepare and fabricate items for use in the kitchen according to established recipes and procedures
  • Store product as received and rotate stock according to established procedures
  • Maintain coolers and storage areas and ensure cleanliness, sanitation and organization of all areas
  • Keep workstation clean, sanitary and orderly in accordance with health department regulations
  • Prepare all food items as directed in a sanitary and timely manner
  • Follow recipes, portion controls and presentation specifications as established by the Executive Chef
  • Restock all items as needed throughout shift
  • Prepare dishes for members and guests with food allergies and intolerances
  • Work at an efficient and consistent pace
  • Comply with all club safety policies and procedures demonstrating safe work practices
  • Identify and report unsafe or hazardous work conditions
  • Report all workplace injuries and illnesses to supervisor
  • Promote the MAC code of conduct in club activities and demonstrate the importance of providing quality service to members
