Job Requirements

  • High school diploma or equivalent
  • one year experience serving in a supervisory role
  • one years previous experience in large scale facility preparations for various sports events preferred
  • reliable transportation
  • food safety manager certification preferred or ability to obtain one within 30 days
  • knowledge and ability to setup/operate various venue sports equipment including basketball goals/backstops, volleyball nets and poles, pickleball nets, spectator bleachers, tables and chairs, soccer goals, field marking and spiking/dragging equipment, bases, pitching mounds
  • knowledge and ability to appropriately setup courts and fields for various sports activities
  • knowledge and ability to operate a cash register/point of sales system while following cash handling protocols
  • knowledge and ability to prepare/serve food and drinks following health department standards
  • knowledge and ability to clean and sanitize facilities and equipment to health department standards
  • knowledge and ability to safely operate restaurant equipment and appliances
  • ability to work in a fast-paced environment
  • ability to communicate effectively with the public and team members

Job Duties

  • Motivates, leads, trains, and instructs team members
  • facilitate the highest standards in operational excellence and park appearance on a daily basis
  • meet and exceed organizational goals through optimal utilization of personnel and resources
  • ensure a consistent, quality experience for clientele
  • serve as venue liaison to event hosts and/or guests
  • follow operational procedures to ensure venue facilities and/or resources are used appropriately, and contract rental schedule is adhered to
  • maintain facilities and sports equipment appearance
  • oversee full event preparation, setup and teardown for various sporting activities including basketball, volleyball, baseball/softball, soccer, pickleball, roller derby
  • maintain and oversee venue sports equipment including basketball goals/backstops, volleyball nets and poles, pickleball nets, spectator bleachers, tables and chairs, soccer goals, field marking and spiking/dragging equipment, bases, pitching mounds
  • conduct quality control reviews of grounds maintenance and ballfield preparation, identify and report deficiencies
  • maintain overall cleanliness of the complex including gymnasium, athletic fields, restrooms, concessions, and common areas
  • perform overall park custodial duties such as emptying trash, cleaning and restocking restrooms, sweeping, mopping
  • oversee event crowd control and assist guests to maintain a safe and organized event
  • respond to customer inquiries
  • respond to incidents and contact appropriate authorities
  • complete incident reports to management
  • assist concessions manager as needed
  • perform all responsibilities of sports events aide as needed
  • adhere to safety training and protocols daily
  • protect confidentiality of client information, services, donors, investigations, and financial information
  • adhere to the code of conduct and faith and moral policies
  • take a solution-oriented approach in interactions
  • perform other duties as assigned
