Job Duties
- Washing dishes by scraping, rinsing, and loading into dishwashers or washing by hand
- Sanitizing and maintaining proper cleaning procedures to meet health and safety standards
- Organizing storage by properly storing clean dishes, utensils, and equipment
- Maintaining the dishwashing area clean, organized, and free of clutter
- Removing trash and ensuring proper disposal
- Cleaning and maintaining kitchen floors including sweeping and mopping
- Assisting with basic food preparation tasks such as peeling vegetables or portioning food
- Following all food safety and sanitation procedures
- Reporting sanitation or equipment issues to kitchen supervisor
- Ensuring dishwashing machines function properly and reporting malfunctions
- Assisting with closing duties including sanitizing cooking and prep areas
- Unloading and storing deliveries and maintaining dry storage areas
- Cleaning and sanitizing storage areas including refrigerators and freezers
- Assisting with other cleaning tasks as needed
