Job Description

The Washington Spirit is a professional women's soccer team based in the Washington, D.C. metropolitan area, competing in the National Women's Soccer League (NWSL). The club is devoted to not only achieving competitive excellence on the soccer field but also to engaging with its passionate fanbase throughout the DMV region (District of Columbia, Maryland, and Virginia). Job Requirements

  • Must be at least 18 years of age
  • reside locally within the DMV area
  • provide high energy and enthusiasm
  • available for all Washington Spirit home matches at Audi Field
  • available to work flexible hours including evenings, weekends, and holidays
  • required to travel frequently within the DMV area with own vehicle transportation
  • proof of COVID-19 vaccination prior to employment start date
  • able to perform indoor and outdoor work with some exposure to adverse conditions

Job Qualifications

  • Performance background in dance, cheer or gymnastics
  • ability to tumble preferred but not required
  • previous operations, marketing, promotional, or event experience preferred
  • excellent communication skills
  • ability to work in a team environment
  • outgoing and professional disposition when engaging with fans
  • passionate about women's soccer and sports
  • adaptable and dependable

Job Duties

  • Performing throughout pregame and halftime
  • attend all rehearsals and be game ready to perform
  • participate in various in-game elements including merchandise hits, live hits with the host and in game contests
  • assist Washington Spirit Event Coordinator with fan interactions such as mascot visits, surprise and delights moments, and t shirt toss
  • ensure a positive fan experience through friendly interactions, proactive engagement, knowledge of match and venue procedures, professional appearance, and service
  • perform other related duties as assigned
