Job Requirements

  • High school diploma or equivalent
  • ability to communicate clearly and professionally with guests and staff
  • willingness to work flexible hours including evenings, weekends, and holidays
  • physical ability to stand and walk for extended periods
  • compliance with food safety and sanitation standards
  • ability to use point of sale systems and basic kitchen equipment
  • prior food service experience preferred

  • previous experience in food service or hospitality preferred but not required
  • strong communication and interpersonal skills

Job Duties

  • Promptly and warmly greet guests in the dining room
  • take food and beverage orders efficiently following established steps of service
  • deliver food promptly and professionally while maintaining safe food handling and sanitation standards
  • follow up periodically to assist with additional guest needs or requests
  • demonstrate complete understanding of menu items and ingredients and advise guests on food and drink combinations
  • accommodate reasonable requests and note preferences, including knowledge of specialized diets and allergens
  • communicate directly with back-of-the-house staff to ensure order accuracy and accommodation of special requests
  • exhibit exceptional communication skills and flexibility when interacting with guests and staff
  • collect tickets and follow proper cash-handling procedures
  • promote a clean, safe and neat environment for guests
  • maintain confidentiality regarding personal or medical information shared
  • promptly address complaints or issues and relay relevant information to supervisor
  • ensure the dining room is properly set up prior to and after service periods, maintaining cleanliness and sanitation standards
  • operate various equipment including fire extinguishers, telephones, beverage machines, soup wells, and coffee machines
  • collaborate with staff from other departments during special events and functions
  • perform other duties as assigned
