Job Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree preferably in business management, travel & tourism, geography, or related field
  • Two years full-time experience or equivalent combination of education and experience
  • Members must hold and be worthy to hold a current temple recommend
  • Strong communication skills
  • Ability to provide 24/7 emergency support
  • Proficiency with airline booking and travel management systems
  • Ability to negotiate contracts and manage complex itineraries

Job Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree preferably in business management, travel & tourism, geography, or related field
  • Two years full-time experience or equivalent combination of education and experience
  • Two years relationship management experience in travel or related field
  • Proficiency in leading initiatives and ensuring accountability
  • Advanced personal computer skills
  • Demonstrated advanced proficiency using the SABRE airline booking system
  • Broad understanding of strategic sourcing, contract management, airline reservation systems, geography, and fare construction

Job Duties

  • Partner with university departments to design and implement logistical strategies and event coordination plans
  • Oversee and execute on-site logistical operations for group and VIP travel
  • Negotiate and finalize contracts with airlines, hotels, and event venues
  • Collaborate to arrange and manage complex travel itineraries including air, hotel, and rental car bookings
  • Manage travel transactions such as refunds, exchanges, upgrades, and fee waivers
  • Advise on travel authorization procedures, expense management, and campus travel policies
  • Provide 24/7 support for after-hours travel emergencies
  • Audit daily travel transactions and implement corrective actions
  • Organize campus visits to enhance travel office performance and stakeholder relationships
  • Deliver presentations on travel office services and vendor benefits
  • Manage unused tickets to maximize resource utilization
