Job Requirements
- Must be able to lift 50 pounds
- standing and walking for 6 to 8 hours in an 8-hour workday
- hand use including single grasping, fine manipulation, pushing, and pulling
- perform motions such as bending, twisting, squatting, and reaching
- exposure to FDA approved cleaning chemicals
- exposure to temperatures ranging from below 32 degrees Fahrenheit to above 90 degrees Fahrenheit
- ability to work in wet and cold environments
- flexible schedule including nights, weekends, and holidays
- ability to use tools and equipment including box cutters and electric pallet jacks
- TIPS course completion where applicable
- be 18 years or older to serve alcohol
Job Qualifications
- Retail experience of 24 or more months with at least 12 months in team leadership
- food safety certification or commitment to complete within six months
- advanced knowledge of products, buying, pricing, merchandising, and inventory management
- excellent interpersonal, motivational, and team-building skills
- proficiency in email, Microsoft Office, and operations-related applications
- demonstrated decision-making, leadership, and delegation abilities
- thorough product knowledge
- advanced knowledge of regulatory and safety policies and procedures
- strong mathematical skills for financial assessment and inventory management
- capable of teaching others constructively
Job Duties
- Hold ATLs, supervisors, and Team Members accountable for delivering outstanding customer service
- define and develop clear expectations to achieve the highest standards of retail execution
- effectively delegate to and empower ATLs and Team Members
- monitor and achieve sales, margin, expense, and labor targets
- maintain proper product assortment, merchandising, and inventory control
- ensure products are cross-merchandised according to regional and global guidelines
- ensure adherence to category management schedule and planograms
- maintain comprehensive knowledge of and ensure compliance with relevant regulatory rules and standards
- foster and encourage a positive environment of teamwork, mutual respect, and exceptional morale
- respond promptly to customer needs and questions
- select, train, develop, mentor, motivate, and counsel Team Members
- communicate and maintain Team Member safety and security standards
- provide timely, thorough, and thoughtful performance evaluations
- consistently communicate and model WFM vision and goals
