Job Requirements

  • High school diploma or equivalent
  • 5+ years experience as an Asian Room Chef or equivalent
  • 8+ years culinary experience
  • Certification in Serv-Safe within 120 days of employment
  • Gaming license or registration as required by jurisdiction
  • Ability to stand for prolonged periods
  • Ability to lift up to 25 pounds
  • Ability to handle objects, tools, or controls and reach with hands and arms
  • Capacity to work in environments with moderate to loud noise, bright lights, smoke, and dust
  • Must be flexible to work various shifts and holidays

Job Qualifications

  • High school diploma or equivalent
  • 5+ years experience as an Asian Room Chef in a high-quality volume operation or equivalent
  • 8+ years of culinary experience
  • Certification in Serv-Safe (Food Sanitation Management)
  • Gaming license or registration as required by jurisdiction
  • Ability to create and work within a budget
  • Computer literate in Microsoft Office and restaurant systems
  • Ability to communicate Material Safety Data Sheets to team members
  • Strong team player
  • Excellent communication skills

Job Duties

  • Directs the day-to-day operation of the kitchen to ensure the best possible service is provided to all guests and team members
  • Demonstrates a passion for the culinary arts and continuous improvement
  • Monitors and controls food costs and assists with requisition of daily food purchase orders
  • Ensures proper staffing for forecasted volume and budgetary guidelines
  • Ensures strict adherence to all policies and procedures
  • Orders all food needed and is responsible for quality control
  • Prepares menus, develops recipes, and prepares special menu items
  • Develops cost analysis and training guides
  • Monitors inventories and reports discrepancies
  • Takes the food end of period inventory and presents it to the Department Analyst
  • Ensures excellent guest service and maintains high sanitation and safety standards
  • Works with trainers to ensure all hires are trained
  • Communicates problems or concerns to Executive Chef and other departments
  • Participates in departmental meetings and prepares budgets and forecasts
  • Maintains files to ensure management efficiency
  • Ensures nutritious, safe, and eye-appealing food
  • Maintains security and rotation of products
  • Supervises kitchen staff activities and functional duties
  • Coordinates with front-of-house supervisors
  • Works flexible shifts including holidays
  • Performs all other duties as assigned
