Job Requirements
- Doctor of Pharmacy degree from an accredited College of Pharmacy
- Current unrestricted Pharmacist license in pharmacy location state
- Ability to obtain and maintain licenses in other states as required
- Preferred 2-3 years of practice in a specialty pharmacy setting
- Preferred 2-3 years of experience in a managed care setting
- 3-5 years of practice in a traditional retail setting performing MTMs
- Must comply with state and federal pharmacy practice guidelines
- Must maintain confidentiality of patient information
- Must be able to meet on-call and scheduling requirements
- Must complete all mandatory and regulatory training programs
Job Qualifications

- 2-3 years of practice in a specialty pharmacy setting preferred

- Strong knowledge of state and federal pharmacy regulations
- Excellent clinical and operational judgment skills
- Ability to train and develop clinical and pharmacy staff
- Experience with accreditation standards and quality management
- Outstanding communication and interpersonal skills
Job Duties
- Assist in the oversight of the day-to-day operations of the Pharmacy department
- Ensure consistent application of organizational policies and procedures
- Perform all quality assurance steps to ensure a technically accurate prescription is dispensed
- Report dispensing incidents in a timely manner according to company guidelines
- Oversee clinical decision making and accountability to the organization
- Conduct patient drug utilization reviews and analysis
- Report adverse events promptly
- Suggest appropriate alternative therapies when warranted
- Ensure clinical management program compliance with accreditation standards
- Monitor pharmacy claims for proper reimbursement
- Assist in managing pharmacy inventory
- Maintain records according to state and federal guidelines
- Ensure compliance with regulations of all states where prescriptions are dispensed
- Maintain confidentiality of patient information
- Assist in training and development of clinical and pharmacy personnel
- Participate in Quality Management Committee
- Obtain and maintain required licensure
- Serve as responsible licensed pharmacist in other states as required
- Stay current with state and federal regulatory changes
- Consult periodically with practitioners
- Meet on-call and scheduling requirements
- Complete all mandatory regulatory training
- Interface with auditors and outside agencies
- Ensure outstanding customer service
- Follow Loss Prevention policies
- Perform other duties as assigned
