Job Requirements
- Minimum of an associate's degree
- two years in culinary field or appropriate continuing education experience and relevant work experience
- experience in producing high-volume, high-quality food
- must have experience with various cooking duties including grilling and preparing sauces
- knowledge of HACCP/GMP
- ability to work under time constraints
- flexibility to work different shifts including nights, weekends, and holidays
- strong physical ability to stand, walk, reach, stoop, kneel, crouch and lift up to 30 pounds
- constant attention to detail and accuracy
- punctuality and reliability
- valid food handler's certificate or equivalent

Job Duties
- Experience in producing high-volume, high-quality food from menus
- must have experience with various cooking duties - (grilling, preparing sauces, etc.)
- operating a traditional Chinese cuisine tandoor oven, cooking such items as meat and breads
- preparing Chinese cuisine curries, sauces, and desserts as per standard and style set by the Head Chef(s)
- regulating temperatures of tandoor, ovens, grills, burners/pans, and other cooking equipment
- able to demonstrate a thorough understanding of traditional Chinese cuisine including desserts
- ensure the correct preparation and presentation standard of the dishes is always maintained
- demonstrating tandoor techniques and cooking procedures to other staff if require
- storing food in temperature-controlled freezers
- checking on food supplies and advising the supervisor of any requirements
- knowledge of HACCP/GMP is a plus, must comply with proper food handling policies and procedures
